Learning should be fun and engage the mind of every individual

About
About Me

Ever since an early age, I have been interested in how children learn and develop. This led me to study Child Development and Psychology at A-level and pursue a degree in Education at Durham University.
I began my teaching career in Surbiton at a local Primary school, teaching across KS1 and then moving onto another state school in Morden after a gap year where I travelled the world. I have held the positions of Maths co-ordinator and worked alongside SENCO's, all of which led to me taking on the role as Head of Lower School at RPPS, a small Private School in Chiswick.

Since starting my family in 2004, I have furthered my career by tutoring on a one-to-one basis in the comfort of my own home. I find this type of teaching incredibly fulfilling and enjoy the positive relationships that can be developed with individuals. With class sizes varying from 18 in the Private sector to 30 in the State sector, I strongly believe that one-to-one support is a worthwhile venture for any parent to give their child that little bit of extra support.
Due to an increase in demand over the years, I have employed a small dedicated team of teachers to help me. All my staff are both qualified, experienced and DBS checked and they all believe in my ethos that learning should be fun and engage the minds of every individual.

How It Works
Teaching Approach
Assessments
Lessons are on a one-to-one basis with a dedicated tutor and last 1 hour.
I assess every child and develop a bespoke program to meet the needs of the individual.
Verbal feedback is given at the end of every session, and if a more detailed conversation is needed, the tutor will ring the parents personally to discuss their child's progress.
Every pupil between the ages of 5-11 who begins lessons with Stepping Stone Tuition is assessed in both Maths and English by myself, to determine where their strengths and weaknesses lie.
An in depth feedback will be given by phone outlining the findings with regards to reading age, spelling age and levels the child is working at in comparison to the average attainment for a child of their age.
Pupils looking for GCSE or A-Level tuition will be individually assessed by their tutor in the first lesson.
